Horton Foote, American author, playwright and screenwriter, was born 101 years ago today … but of course he is not female. Today’s quote comes from Sylvia Beach, who shares his birthday. She was born 130 years ago today. If you don’t know who she is, she founded the Paris English-language bookstore, Shakespeare & Co., supported writers including Ernest Hemingway, and published James Joyce. And I love this quote, especially in these times:
